Aldrich Ames, a former CIA officer known as a double agent who sold U.S. secrets to the Soviet Union and Russia, has died in a Maryland prison at age 84. Ames, who served 31 years with the CIA, admitted to being paid millions for classified information, including the identities of Western agents.
