Before his death, Singh shared a video alleging harassment and extortion by property dealers and police officers in Udham Singh Nagar district. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has directed Kumaon Commissioner Deepak Rawat to conduct a fair and transparent investigation into the incident and submit a report, with strict action promised if negligence is found.
