Kurla police in Mumbai have registered a case against four partners of Sumit Services Company for allegedly defrauding a 78-year-old retired civil engineer of Rs 33.35 lakh. The accused reportedly promised higher returns on investment and sought funds, citing financial difficulties. The victim, who had previously worked as a project consultant for the firm, reportedly took out a loan and used his savings to transfer the money to the company's account.
