In Alappuzha, Kerala, a beggar identified as Anil Kishore died after a road accident and subsequent departure from a hospital. Authorities discovered over Rs 4.5 lakh in cash, including banned Rs 2,000 notes and foreign currency, stored in plastic tins within a container found near his body. Kishore was known locally for begging for daily expenses, and the large sum of money has astonished residents. Police are to hand the recovered cash to the court.
