Andhra Pradesh CID, in coordination with central agencies and international partners, has rescued over 120 youths trapped in cybercrime compounds in Myanmar. These individuals were lured with fake job offers in IT and related fields, then detained and forced into online fraud. Rescues occurred in multiple phases between November 2025 and January 2026, with victims repatriated to India. Authorities have registered cases and arrested suspects, while efforts continue to apprehend those still abroad.
