A couple was allegedly burned alive in their hut in Tamil Nadu's Tiruvannamalai district after unidentified individuals locked the structure from the outside and set it ablaze. The victims, identified as farmer T. Sakthivel and his live-in partner S. Amirtham, were found deceased by neighbors who alerted authorities. Sakthivel, a former village councilor associated with the ruling DMK party, had a history of marital disputes. Police are investigating the motive, exploring possibilities of personal enmity.
