The body of Vikas Kumar, a 37-year-old assistant foreman with the electricity board, was recovered from the Bhakra canal in Tohana on Wednesday, six days after he went missing. Kumar was last seen leaving work on January 2. His family reported him missing when he did not return home. The search for Kumar focused on the canal area after his mobile phone's last location was traced there. Police have recovered the body for a post-mortem examination and are investigating the circumstances of his death.
