In Assam's Sivasagar district, police fatally shot Ranjit Pandav after he allegedly attacked neighbors with a machete while inebriated. Pandav first assaulted Martin and Gita Pandav, leaving them critically injured. When police arrived, Pandav reportedly threatened them with the weapon, leading to the firing. The injured couple is receiving advanced medical treatment. Reports indicate Pandav had a history of domestic violence, and his family was staying elsewhere at the time of the incident.
