Cuddalore New Town police arrested three individuals for the illegal procurement and stocking of pain-relief tablets. A total of 600 tablets were seized from the accused, who reportedly obtained them from Gujarat via courier. The police have initiated a search for additional individuals involved in the operation. The arrested trio has been remanded in custody.
