A 52-year-old Indian national, Raj Jasuja, was reportedly attacked and beaten by a group of transwomen in Pattaya, Thailand, on December 27. Videos show Jasuja being dragged from a car and assaulted after allegedly refusing to pay for sexual services. Eyewitnesses and local media reports indicate the dispute began over payment for services. Jasuja sustained injuries to his face and head and was hospitalized. Thai police plan to investigate once Jasuja files a formal complaint. Pattaya has seen similar incidents involving tourists and sex workers.
