A Border Security Force (BSF) jawan, Constable Ramesh Kumar, died in a fire that erupted in a single-storey tradesmen building at a BSF camp in Modar, Bandipora district, Jammu and Kashmir. The fire broke out on Sunday evening and was brought under control by fire tenders and BSF personnel. Kumar, who worked as a washerman, was identified after a body was recovered from the debris. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
