A 45-year-old private security guard, Prabhakar Ojha, died by suicide by shooting himself with his licensed revolver at his Kandivli home on Monday evening. Ojha, who worked at a jewelry shop, returned home and locked himself in a room before the gunshot was heard. Police have registered a case of accidental death and are investigating, but the exact reason for the suicide remains unknown. His family and neighbors alerted authorities after hearing the shot.
