In Tripura's Sepahijala district, a joint operation by police, BSF, and TSR destroyed approximately 19 lakh premature cannabis plants valued at Rs 100 crore. The day-long operation on Saturday covered 650 acres of forest land across several areas. Authorities utilized drones to locate the plantations. While no arrests have been made yet, police stated this marks the largest single-day destruction of cannabis plants in the state. The cannabis is reportedly smuggled to other states for higher profits.
