In a joint operation, Khalra police and BSF seized a 557 gm packet of heroin in the fields of Van Tara Singh village, Tarn Taran. The packet, believed to be dropped by a drone, was discovered following a tip-off. Authorities have registered a case. Sources suggest smugglers are using smaller drones to evade newly installed anti-drone systems in the region.
