
In Indore, a ban on Chinese manjha (synthetic kite string) has been reinforced following a fatal incident and two injuries on Sunday. A 45-year-old man died and a 25-year-old was injured after their throats were slit by the prohibited string while riding motorcycles. Authorities have intensified searches and warned of strict action against sellers and users, especially with Makar Sankranti approaching. The High Court also indicated potential guardian responsibility for minors using the banned string.
