Police in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, detained a 52-year-old man, Rajiv Jaiswal, near the railway station with Rs 50 lakh in cash. Jaiswal claimed he was asked to deliver the money, received from two unidentified individuals on a scooter, to another location in the district. He could not provide a satisfactory explanation or documentation for the cash. The Income Tax department has been informed, and efforts are underway to identify the individuals involved and the source of the funds.
