A Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) official, his wife, and their 10-year-old daughter died in a fire at their residence in northwest Delhi's Adarsh Nagar early Tuesday. The fire, which broke out in the master bedroom of their fifth-floor flat, is suspected to have been caused by an electrical short circuit in a room heater. Firefighters and residents attempted to control the blaze, with one firefighter sustaining a minor injury. The DMRC has confirmed the deaths and is cooperating with the ongoing police investigation into the exact cause of the incident.
