Noida police have busted an interstate gang of mobile thieves, arresting eight individuals and recovering 821 stolen phones valued between Rs 6 to 8 crore. The gang, primarily from Jharkhand, targeted crowded markets in the NCR, specifically during winter months and often targeting individuals wearing jackets. The stolen phones, predominantly OnePlus and iPhones, were passed among members to evade capture and were reportedly sold in Nepal. The operation began after a businessman reported a high-value phone theft.
