A Nepalese man, Bibek Paudel, died from suspected carbon monoxide poisoning after a charcoal barbecue grill was brought inside a rented house in Dharwad due to cold weather. Six other Nepalese nationals working at a fast-food outlet were found unconscious and hospitalized, with three in critical condition. The incident occurred when the workers slept with the grill inside a closed room. The owner discovered the situation when workers failed to report for duty.
