
A fire erupted on the third floor of a commercial building in Mumbai's Andheri East on Wednesday evening, resulting in the deaths of two individuals. The blaze, which occurred at Tex Centre's Narayan Plaza building in the Chandivali area, was reported around 6:36 pm and was doused after approximately three hours. Firefighters rescued two unconscious men from an office, identified as Bhagvan Pitale and Sumant Jadhav, who were later declared dead at separate hospitals. The fire was confined to an office space and damaged electrical installations and office equipment, including lithium-ion batteries. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
