
Telangana CID has arrested Amardeep Kumar, the Managing Director of Falcon Invoice Discounting, in connection with a Rs 792 crore investment scam. Kumar was apprehended at Mumbai airport upon returning from Iran. The company allegedly operated a fraudulent website and app, creating fake invoice deals to lure over 7,000 depositors into investing approximately Rs 4,215 crore with promises of high returns. The scheme, described as a Ponzi scheme, collapsed by January 2025. Eleven individuals, including directors and a chartered accountant, have been arrested, and assets worth around Rs 43 crore have been identified for attachment.
