A senior photojournalist, K. Gopakumar (58), died Wednesday morning in Thiruvananthapuram when the motorcycle he was riding was reportedly hit by a KSRTC bus near Karakkamandapam. Gopakumar, chief photographer for the Malayalam daily Chandrika, was traveling with his wife, Bindu, who sustained injuries and is hospitalized. The accident involved a speeding government bus, according to police reports.
