Two Nepalese citizens, Rakesh Rajak and Sameer Kumar Singh, were arrested by police and Customs officials at the India-Nepal border in Uttar Pradesh's Maharajganj district. They were found with approximately 10 kg of silver, valued at around Rs 50 lakh, concealed in plastic packets within their car. Authorities suspect the individuals were acting as carriers for a larger smuggling racket and are pursuing action under the Customs Act.
