A man identified as Kuthadi Tirupati (42-45) scaled the Sri Govindarajaswamy Temple tower in Tirupati late Friday night. Under the influence of alcohol, he reportedly attempted to damage the sacred kalashas using a stick. A three-hour standoff ensued, during which he demanded alcohol to come down. Authorities eventually persuaded him to descend, took him into custody, and registered a case for trespassing and public intoxication. The incident has raised concerns about temple security.
