Ludhiana police have arrested Gursewak Singh Mota, a prime accused in the murder of Gagandeep Singh, a bouncer from Manuke village. Six relatives of other accused were also apprehended for aiding their escape. The victim was not related to AAP MLA Saravjit Kaur Manuke, contrary to earlier reports. Police investigations suggest an old enmity, possibly stemming from a scuffle with a kabaddi player on December 31, 2025, as the motive behind the killing. A car used in the crime has been impounded.
