A 60-year-old woman in Thane, Maharashtra, has been arrested for allegedly murdering her daughter-in-law over a dispute concerning her deceased son's railway job and gratuity funds. The accused reportedly wanted the gratuity money and for her grandson, not the victim, to receive the job on compassionate grounds. Police discovered the victim with severe injuries near a bridge, initially filing an accidental death report. The accused later identified the victim as her missing daughter-in-law, but a subsequent investigation revealed the murder plot.
