A 38-year-old woman, Kiran Devi, died after allegedly falling into a gorge near Gauchar town in Uttarakhand's Chamoli district. She was reportedly collecting fodder for her cattle in a forest five kilometers from her village when the incident occurred. A joint team of police and SDRF, with villagers' assistance, recovered her body from the gorge.
