
Police in Bhiwandi have booked 26 individuals for allegedly brandishing swords and iron weapons in a public place, causing panic and violating the Model Code of Conduct for local elections. The incident occurred late Monday night near Gavdevi Temple, where the group, reportedly intoxicated, was found creating a disturbance. Weapons were seized, and an FIR was registered against the accused, some of whom are from outside the city, under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Mumbai Police Act.
