
An Assistant Police Inspector (API) in Thane, Maharashtra, has been arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) for allegedly accepting a Rs 20,000 bribe. The officer, Sanjay Dhondiram Bidgar, reportedly demanded the money from a complainant to help him and his family members in a case. The complainant approached the ACB after the alleged demand, leading to Bidgar's arrest while accepting the bribe. A case has been registered under the Prevention of Corruption Act, and investigations are ongoing.
