A University Grants Commission (UGC) team has arrived in Dharamshala to investigate the death of a 19-year-old student. The student's father has recorded his statement, reiterating allegations of harassment, including casteist remarks, against four students and an assistant professor. While some accused students and the professor have joined the investigation and some have received interim bail, a separate probe by the Himachal Pradesh Education Department is also underway. Both committees are examining college records and speaking with stakeholders to determine adherence to safety and anti-ragging regulations.
