A retired 85-year-old Army officer, Lieutenant General Kulwant Singh Mann, was killed in a hit-and-run incident in Panchkula, Haryana, on Friday evening. He was struck by an unidentified vehicle while on his routine walk near his residence. Police are investigating the incident, examining CCTV footage from nearby areas, and have registered a case against the driver of the unknown vehicle. The post-mortem examination is pending the arrival of his son from abroad.
