In Ballia, Uttar Pradesh, a 53-year-old man was killed and two others were seriously injured when an out-of-control pickup truck struck them while they were walking on the roadside. The incident occurred on the Rasra-Mau road at 6 am. Police have seized the vehicle and are interrogating the driver. The injured were taken to a local health center and later referred to a hospital, while the deceased's body was sent for post-mortem.
