Tirumala police have arrested a 45-year-old woman from Karnataka for allegedly drugging and robbing an elderly devotee of her 60-gram gold talibottu chain. The incident occurred on January 3 inside the Vaikuntha Queue Complex when the victim, R. Vijaya (63), was administered a sedative tablet, causing her to lose consciousness. The accused, identified as Nagishetty Nagarathnamma, was apprehended on January 10, and the stolen gold chain was recovered.
