In Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, five individuals, including a woman, were arrested in connection with an alleged illegal slaughterhouse discovered in a scrap warehouse compound. Police found animal hides and remains in a pit, leading to the arrest of suspects identified as Ilyas, Haji Islam, Shahrukh, Faizan, and a female accomplice. Four knives used for slaughter were recovered. A case has been registered against seven individuals under the UP Prevention of Cow Slaughter Act and Municipal Corporation Act, with efforts underway to apprehend the remaining accused. Police have increased security in the area due to local tensions.
