Police in Mohali have arrested Neeraj, the caretaker of former Punjab additional advocate general Krishan Kumar Goel's wife, Ashok Kumari Goel, for her murder. The victim was found dead on December 30, with police initially suspecting an inside job. Neeraj, who had worked for the family for eight years, confessed to plotting the crime with associates. The motive reportedly shifted from robbery to murder when Neeraj feared the victim would identify him. Valuables worth approximately ₹8.5 lakh and gold jewelry were stolen.
