A fire at a Bengaluru PG accommodation, which killed one person and injured three, could have been prevented if civic authorities had acted on a demolition order issued in March 2023, residents allege. The fire, reportedly caused by a commercial LPG cylinder, occurred at the Seven Hills Sai Co-Living PG. Residents claim they raised building code violation concerns as early as 2021. An FIR has been filed against the building owner and manager.
