Maharashtra Cyber has detained several individuals for circulating a deepfake video falsely implicating YouTuber Payal Gaming. Those apprehended have been issued notices and compelled to issue public apologies. Authorities identified and are pursuing the original uploader of the AI-generated intimate video, which falsely claimed to feature the influencer. Legal action is being taken under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and IT Act for identity fraud and online defamation.
