In Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh, Farman Raza, son of cleric Maulana Tauqeer Raza, was arrested after his car collided with a stationary bus. Police recovered approximately half a gram of crystal methamphetamine and a syringe from his car. Raza reportedly admitted to purchasing one gram of the drug from Delhi for personal use and consuming half. He was booked under the NDPS Act but released on bail due to the small quantity. He initially attempted to delay a search of his vehicle.
