
The driver of a BEST electric bus involved in a fatal accident in Mumbai's Bhandup area has been remanded to 14-day judicial custody. The accident, which occurred on December 29, resulted in four deaths and ten injuries. Police sought an extended remand for psychological evaluation follow-ups, but the court denied the request, allowing for evaluations to be conducted from jail. The driver was arrested under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and Motor Vehicles Act.
