A college lecturer in Jajpur, Odisha, has been suspended and sent to jail following his arrest on charges of misappropriating over ₹32 lakh intended for a girls' self-defense program. The lecturer, who also served as former principal, faces charges under the Prevention of Corruption Act and IPC. The former president of the college's governing body was also arrested in connection with the alleged misappropriation of government funds.
