
In Pakistan's Punjab province, a married woman, Sidra Bashir, and her lover, Babar Hussain, have been arrested for allegedly strangling her three children, aged three to seven, to death. Police report the couple administered sleeping pills to the children before committing the murders. Bashir confessed that the killings were motivated by their desire to marry. The children's bodies were reportedly burned and buried in a deserted area. The investigation began after the husband filed a missing persons report.
