A major fire in Solan, Himachal Pradesh, on Sunday night or early Monday morning, resulted in the death of an eight-year-old child. Several shops and residential buildings, primarily wooden structures, were gutted in the blaze near the Old Bus Stand in Arki. Reports indicate that between seven and fifteen people, including migrant laborers from Nepal and Bihar, are feared trapped. The fire, possibly exacerbated by exploding LPG cylinders, prompted a large-scale rescue operation involving local fire services, SDRF, and NDRF. An inquiry into the cause has been ordered.
