A 16-year-old girl was allegedly gangraped in an abandoned factory in West Bengal's Hooghly district on Thursday evening. Police have arrested two individuals, including a man identified as Dipankar Adhikari, reportedly a local Trinamool Congress youth leader, and the girl's alleged boyfriend, who is also a minor. Charges under the POCSO Act have been filed. Authorities are searching for two more associates of the accused. Opposition parties have alleged political links to the main accused, claims denied by the Trinamool Congress.
