
Three pilgrims were killed and eight injured when a truck carrying cotton overturned on them near Bundi, Rajasthan. The pilgrims were walking to the Chauth Mata temple when the speeding truck veered off the Kota-Dausa Highway, struck the group, and then toppled. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla visited the injured and called for a dedicated pilgrim corridor. Angry villagers protested, setting fire to spilled cotton and disrupting traffic. Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident, with foggy conditions cited as a potential factor.
