Police in Ludhiana have initiated proceedings to bring Shubham Grover, a notorious offender lodged in Ferozepur jail, to Ludhiana on a production warrant. Grover, allegedly an aide of gangster Goldy Brar, is being investigated in connection with an extortion racket and a recent firing incident at a garment shop. Masked assailants fired five shots at the shop after the owner refused to pay ₹50 lakh in extortion money. Grover faces multiple cases, including Arms Act violations.
