A fire at the Le Constellation bar in Crans-Montana, Switzerland, on New Year's Eve killed at least 40 people and injured 119. Prosecutors are investigating the bar's two managers for potential negligence, including homicide and arson. The fire is believed to have started when sparklers attached to champagne bottles ignited the ceiling, which was covered in flammable soundproofing material. Many victims were teenagers, with the youngest identified being 14 years old. Investigations are ongoing into safety measures, renovations, and escape routes.
