Palghar's MBVV Cyber Police have successfully recovered Rs 1,33,937 lost by a resident in a credit card activation scam. The victim received a fake call offering assistance with new credit card activation, leading to fraudulent transactions. Promptly reporting the incident to the Cyber Police, who then contacted the online merchant, resulted in the full amount being reversed and refunded to the complainant. Police are reiterating warnings about sharing sensitive financial information over the phone.
