Israel Police has established a new security sub-district, the Rotem Area, within its Southern District in the Negev. This initiative aims to bolster security for southern residents by deploying hundreds of officers across various fields to combat crime, including arms trafficking, shooting incidents, extortion, and illegal construction, with a particular focus on Arab communities. The new district, which began operations recently, includes several cities and a regional unit to ensure rapid response to local threats.
