Bangladesh police have arrested Mohammad Yasin Arafat, identified as a key figure in the lynching of Hindu garment worker Dipu Chandra Das. Authorities allege Arafat, a former teacher and imam, incited the mob that killed Das on December 18 over blasphemy allegations. Das was reportedly dragged from his workplace, beaten, hanged, and set on fire. Arafat, who allegedly went into hiding, is among 21 arrests made in the case. The incident has drawn international condemnation and highlights concerns about violence against minorities in Bangladesh.
