In Erode, attempted robberies at two adjacent ATMs on E.V.N. Road were foiled early Monday morning when alarm systems were triggered. Unidentified individuals attempted to smash Karnataka Bank and State Bank of India ATM machines with stones. The alarms alerted bank officials and police, who arrived to find the machines damaged but no cash stolen. CCTV footage and forensic evidence are being collected as part of the investigation.
